The incident took place earlier Friday at a residence on Quail Street in Stratford when the woman told Stratford Police that the unidentified man was making irrational statements and he was armed with at least two weapons, said Capt. Frank Eannotti.
Responding officers and SWAT team members secured the scene and the man was convinced to surrender to police without incident and no one was hurt during the call, Eannotti said.
At this time the scene is still under investigation and no charges have yet been filed. The man was transported to the hospital for evaluation, he added.
